Volunteer With Us

Volunteering with Peace in Education offers a unique pathway to learn mediation skills, foster community connections, and develop practical leadership abilities. Explore our diverse opportunities below and discover how you can contribute to a more peaceful, engaged world.

At Peace in Education, we believe in hands-on collaboration, mutual learning, and the transformative power of community-driven initiatives. Whether you’re a seasoned mediator or brand-new to conflict resolution, our programs welcome you to refine your skills, serve others, and shape stronger neighborhoods.

Internships

Peace in Education’s internships give you the chance to learn mediation skills from the ground up. Along with hands-on experience in mediation and facilitation, you’ll be involved in important administrative and organizational work related to starting and running a non-profit community mediation LLC. This well-rounded experience will equip you with the skills to manage conflicts, lead discussions, and organize community initiatives with confidence.

What can you get out of PiE?

From day one at Peace in Education (PiE), you’ll gain hands-on experience—whether it’s scribing, leading discussions, or attending lectures. Role-playing sessions and real-life community settings will help you build confidence in both online and in-person dispute resolution. Over time, you’ll grow comfortable designing and guiding your own community dialogues.

In exchange, we ask for your participation in quarterly meetings, plus 3–5 weekly volunteer hours. This includes the hands-on learning of crucial skills to support our mission of a more peaceful world.

“The more people learn conflict resolution skills, the more peaceful our world will be. This is why we’re called Peace in Education.”
